Frederick Ward Snr left only £50 to each of his five granddaughters. He says he is “disappointed” and “hurt’ not to have received any visits from them during his hospitalizations.

The High Court of Justice rejected their request, finding that the will was rational. The plaintiffs will therefore have to stick to their £50, and not the third of the assets they thought they would inherit. The judge particularly took into account the little contact they had with their grandfather. He was reportedly left out of his great-granddaughter's wedding.
