Great concern for Fritz Wepper: cult actor is in hospice. Wepper suffered blood poisoning in 2011 from which he was never able to fully recover.
At the end of 2023 he was forced to seek medical care and was unable to spend the Christmas period at home. His wife Susanne Kellermann and their daughter Filippa (12) visit him there every day. The actor is still mentally clear, but his physical condition appears to be severely weakened and impaired. He can no longer stand up without support and is reportedly no longer receiving medication.
