The lifeless body of a Belgian national was found Sunday, May 7 near the town of Saint-Paul-de-Varces, south of Grenoble. The 55-year-old reportedly went hiking alone on Saturday and accidentally fell, causing his death.
His wife, who was waiting for him at the airport, reported him missing to authorities. The victim had died when emergency services arrived at the scene, according to the prosecutor's office in Le Figaro. He would have gone hiking alone around his residence.
