Inequalities are worsening on the employment front, the International Labour Organization (ILO) said on Wednesday. The ILO had previously forecast an increase in the global unemployment rate in 2023.

North Africa, which is expected to record an unemployment rate of 2023, is still far from returning to pre-Covid levels. The situation is even worse, since these figures do not take into account people who want to work without being counted and who are at a minimum not counted.
