A 27-year-old man, accused of having shot a gendarme and his wife in Marie-Galante, Guadeloupe, at the end of March, was indicted and imprisoned. The man denies having fired the shot.

“It was very clearly the gendarmes who were targeted to take revenge for an altercation during the day’, the prosecutor said. On the evening of March 28, the mobile gendarmes were hit in the head and chest by a “sheaf of pellets” fired through their window while they were dined.
