Colombian President Gustavo Petro warns of a possible coup d'état. The president announced it on his Twitter account after a retired colonel said "we are going to try to do our best to defenestrate a guy who was a guerrilla" Petro's chief of staff in the Presidency, Laura Sarabia, also denounced the statements.

Colombia is repeatedly proud of being the most stable democracy on the continent, with the United States, and has not had a coup in decades.
