Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said on Thursday (February 8) that no step would be ruled out to defend Russian interests when asked whether German assets in Russia could be confiscated in return. “This is nothing other than the expropriation of foreign property, these are all steps that are likely to undermine the economic and legal foundations of European states,” he said.
