Criminal gangs have left the city practically cut off. It is surprising that some of the members of the council will arrive sponsored by political parties that have been accused of supporting criminal gangs in recent years. Human rights organizations have denounced the PHTKK, the party of former presidents Michel Martelly and Jovenel Moïse, who have worked together in the past.
