Two C-130s, one French and the other Jordanian, dropped humanitarian aid on the Gaza Strip. Since the start of the war between Israel and Hamas, there has been widespread shortages of food, water and sanitation in Gaza.

The humanitarian situation remains critical, says the Inter-Agency Standing Committee (IASC), the coordinating body for humanitarian aid in the region. The IASC says that the situation in Gaza has been worsening since the beginning of the conflict in October, when Hamas took control of the territory.
