Health cops shut down 79 illegal medicine sites. Carabinieri's NAS health police unit said Wednesday that a total of 79 websites have been blacked out in an international operation against the illegal sale of pharmaceuticals.
Five people were arrested, while 126 were reported to criminal prosecutors and medicines worth around nine million euros were seized. The impounded material included medicines, doping substances, dietary supplements and products related to the treatment of COVID-19. The operation took place between April and November 2023 under the coordination of EUROPOL.
