Germany has to prepare for a drought summer with a high risk of forest fires. The south of Europe, on the other hand, has to reckon with violent storms.

Thunderstorms, hail, heavy rain and squalls are imminent. In Italy, the risk of severe weather remains for the time being – even during the summer holiday season. At least in Spain and on the Balearic Islands such as Mallorca, precipitation is expected to decrease. But then there is the threat of another drought period, which is likely to be even less pleasant than the wet weather.
