The second edition of the 'Gender and Stereotypes' Observatory promoted by Henkel Italia in collaboration with Eumetra. The research analyzes the different roles in the organization and care of the family on a sample of 2,000 individuals between 18 and 55 years old.

33% of the female population declares that they have had to give priority to family at the expense of career. The persistence of gender inequalities continues to limit the expression of the potential of men and women, even among the new generations, and consequently their opportunities, says CEO of Henkel, Mara Panajia. The Observatory also found that women continue to bear the brunt of housework and family care, while in financial and economic matters it is still the man who guides the choices. The different weight in managing activities at home is motivated by the different contribution to the family income, with 18% of those interviewed believing that those who earn more, i.e. the man in 64% of cases, influence the family's economic decisions.
