High tidal coefficients led the river to briefly overflow its banks on Monday and Tuesday. Several sections of the quays were flooded on both banks.

On social networks, many Bordeaux residents have taken images of this phenomenon. The town hall and the metropolis call for caution and invite pedestrians, cyclists and motorists to avoid flooded areas. The situation should return to normal during the day. The phenomenon occurs twice a year on the French coasts, around the spring and autumn equinoxes.
