RTE and the public authorities have heard the calls to preserve the Brotonne forest and the banks of the Seine at Aizier and Vieux-Port. The electrical substations will be located on the site known as “Port-Jérôme 2” and in Noroit and Gabion, respectively to the east and west of the industrial-port zone of Le Havre.

The study phase is now beginning in the area concerned, which will last until the summer of 2025 and during which the route will be refined. The work, estimated at 480 million euros, will begin in 2026 for commissioning by 2029 and the removal of the 250,000 volt line at the same time, in 2030. In the meantime, elected officials, RTE's main contacts, have received a document of around a hundred pages detailing the time zone. For residents, it is possible to request to receive the newsletter by email by writing to rte-concertation-boucles-de-seine@rte-france.com or, starting next week, directly on the project website.
