Hostage taking in the Netherlands – police on a large scale operation. Several people were taken hostage in a café in the Dutch town of Ede near Utrecht on Saturday (March 30) A large police force cordoned off the area in the center of the city, Dutch media reported.
Train services in the affected area were suspended. There is currently no indication of a terrorist background, as the Gelderland police announced. More information coming soon. (asc/dpa)
