Méréville estate is the subject of a first phase of renovation work, started at the end of 2023 and planned for until 2026. A possible future partner is welcoming the public with a restaurant, a tea room and a four-star hotel.

The department requires that the estate's gardens, known for housing caves, lakes and rocks entirely designed by human hands, remain open to the public. The 7 million euros of work is financed to the tune of 30 or 40% by the Regional Directorate of Cultural Affairs (Drac), by subsidies from the Île-de-France-France region and by the Essonne Mécénat foundation, an organization under the Heritage Foundation. The objective, which is both ambitious for them and for us, would be for them to open in 2026, says Brigitte Vermillet, the elected official in charge of heritage and the development of departmental areas. The framework of the castle was completely dismantled to be restored. This is the reason why we currently see a large dome above the estate.
