Italy's antitrust authority is investigating if lavish reported earnings from various private contracts represent an activity incompatible with that of being a member of the government. The undersecretary has said he is innocent and on Tuesday he was fined 2,000 euros for defaming former Romemayor Virginia Raggi in a TV interview.
