Housing or monument protection? Future of the Reconciliation Church in Geretsried uncertain. There are suggestions that the building could be listed.

The community will soon be forced to secure the building with a construction fence. Church was built in the 1960s and is unique because of its unusual floor plan: seven hexagonal rooms clad in wooden shingles nestle together like honeycombs. It comes from the architect Franz Lichtblau, who died in 2019. During his career he designed 44 Protestant churches in Bavaria.
