In most European countries, there is no law to prevent workers from going to work in hot weather. In the Middle East and North Africa, there are laws to protect workers, but not in the West.

The World Health Organization says that in the U.S. and Europe, the law should be in place to prevent heat-related illnesses. The WHO also recommends that workers take breaks in the heat, and that they use air-conditioning when they are not working in the sun. It is not clear if this is possible in the United States.
