The Maisinger boys have brought a 35 meter spruce tree into the village - the new maypole. It will be installed at the big celebration on May 1st at the Gasthaus Georg Ludwig.
With its length, the new one clearly towers over the old maypole from 2016, which measured 27 meters. The celebration begins with a service at 9 a.m. and work begins around 10 a. m. There are also white sausages, later also grilled delicacies and Andechs beer and even later coffee and cake. The Pöcking brass band plays. The festival site is the parking lot of the Georg Ludwig inn. The fraternity, which currently has around 15 members, is setting up seating for almost 900 visitors. Because the festival takes place in all weathers, a large umbrella and two small tents should be set up for safety reasons. The Maisingers only want to go hunting this year if they really have a quick opportunity. Otherwise, preparations for your own May festival take priority.
