Ichika Egashira is the first Japanese soccer player to compete in AFA professional tournaments. The 21-year-old will make her debut in the Federal Cup against SOMRA de Escobar on February 1.

She has been playing in Japan since she was 9 years old, but moved to Buenos Aires to play for River Plate. She says she has learned how to collide in soccer and to jump so that fouls are called. She also says that she understands 50% of Spanish, including lunfardo.
