If Russia's army wins: German authorities simulate mass influx of Ukraine refugees. Since the start of the Russian war of aggression in February 2022, more than a million people have already fled from Ukraine to Germany alone.

An influx of refugees would require the federal, state and local governments to make considerable efforts in terms of accommodation and arranging work permits. If Ukraine collapses, Germany would be one of the main target countries for Russia's invading army. The number of Ukrainian citizens in Germany is currently around 1.1 million.
