Ilan Goldfajn promises a “historic” assembly to focus the IDB on the most urgent problems. The Annual Meeting of Governors of the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) begins in Punta Cana.
The IDB disbursed $11.1 billion in loans for development projects in the region last year. The questions revolved around rights of people from native or indigenous groups, people with disabilities, as well as the exclusion of women entrepreneurs, people in poverty or under the threat of food insecurity.
