In Belgium there is a boom in exorcisms and the parish priests cannot cope. In one Flemish abbey alone, Averbode, more than 1,000 exorcisms are being performed a year.
A priest who calls himself 'Geert' says he no longer does exorcisms because he is unable to take on any more work. Exorcisms, practiced by all major religions, are not something of the past. They have survived the evolution of beliefs until reaching strength in 2024.
