Kerolland, in Fouesnant (Finistère), a local and family institution five minutes from the sea, was bought by the Giboire group. The owners of mobile homes at the Kerolland private campsite (130 pitches) find themselves asked to leave their pitch and move their property before the end of the year.

“The family who owns the place, which we have known since 1970, has decided to sell,” says Corinne Le Blanc, from the Collective of users of the Ker Holland campsite, now an association under the 1901 Law. A petition is also online and has more than 10,000 signatures. The group specified that the electrical installations “would not be up to standard” and would present “a risk of fire or explosion” The work would require the campsite to reopen in mid-August. In the meantime, the owners are wondering and asking that Giboire respect the two-year commitment. They would have liked this sale to be done “with someone who would share the family values” of this small peaceful community.
