Lyon town hall wants to preserve independent businesses in the face of the proliferation of fast food restaurants. The objective is to “find, with elected officials, food forces and professionals’, “local solutions to deal with digital platforms which disregard the rules, or with fast food chains,” says Grégory Doucet, the EELV mayor of Lyon.
“The question we must ask ourselves is why tomorrow someone will come to the shops on the peninsula rather than the Part-Dieu shopping center? For that, we can act immediately,’ says Johanna Benedetti, vice-president of the My Presqu'île association.
