Thirteen dogs who lived in conditions resembling abuse, in Cauffry, a small town in Oise, now have the hope of returning to a normal life. It was the town's mayor, Virginie Garnier who, alerted by residents, raised the alarm, triggering the intervention of the gendarmes.

When the police arrived at the owner's home, they found numerous dogs locked in cages barking loudly. No violence in the strict sense of the term was observed on the animals and the master did not act deliberately with the aim of mistreating them. No legal action will therefore be taken and the defendant has agreed to voluntarily relinquish his dogs for the benefit of the Animal Protection Action (APA) association. The dogs are now cared for by members of the APA whose main missions are: to combat animal abuse, to raise public awareness and participate in the education of young people, to ensure compliance with laws protecting animals.. The dogs were all in boxes too small for their size and were mostly curled up on themselves.
