A customer filmed two mice in the pet section of a Monoprix store in the 16th arrondissement of Paris on Wednesday. The video had been shared nearly 35,000 times, and some comments called for the store to be closed.

The store apologized to its customers and took care to exchange the stained sleeping bags by replacing them with new products. In July 2019, a mouse was filmed in the dried fruit aisles of the Grand Frais store in Saint-Maximin (Oise), and several mice also took refuge in baby clothes in the Carrefour store in Évry 2 (Essonne). The municipality then carried out an inspection, while the brand apologized to the customers for the incident and replaced the sleeping bags with new ones with holes and with urine and excrement instead of leaving them as they were before the video was filmed.
