Sarah Poniatowski is the founder of Maison Sarah Lavoine. She owns four cabins in the dunes of Cap Ferret, near Mimbeau, France.

The interior decorator has always known this small, ultra-preserved strip of sand. She believes in a constant search for harmony, which vibrates our senses and so vibrates the house as well as the people in it. The first feeling you have when you enter is that you feel good, she says. The house is still here that she spends the summer with her family and that she comes to recharge her batteries whenever she can. It is the beating heart of the house, with its small open kitchen, and I even managed to install a huge refrigerator there! She chose warm and soothing tones, eggplant and sand yellow for the bedroom, with touches of the famous “Sarah blue” for the zelliges in her bathroom. The other part of the shed is Sarah's cocoon, with a long table in green lacquered wood, topped with a spectacular chandelier, specially created by a friend.
