In Russia, over 14,000 have already been evacuated, and others are added every hour. In some places the level of water overflowing from the Ural River reached 11.7 metres, more than 40 centimeters higher than yesterday.

The flood hit residential neighborhoods of the city, caused by torrential rain triggered by an anomalous increase in temperatures. Several roads were flooded, resulting in the isolation of some areas. The city of Orenburg and its surroundings, in the Russian region of the Urals, not far from the border with Kazakhstan, was hit by storms and subsequent floods. The local authorities made this known, including the mayor of the town of the same name, which is located in the region of Urals in the east of the country, near the Kazakhstan border. It is not known how many people have been evacuated so far, or how long it will take for them to return to their homes in the city of Orenburg, which has a population of around 1.5 million.
