In Spain the cost of electricity is zero thanks to wind and water. This situation is mainly due to the increase in electricity production through wind and hydraulic plants.
The value of zero is set in various time periods today, even reaching the negative zone in the period between 1pm and 4pm. However, this huge reduction in prices on the market is only partially reflected in the bills of final consumers, at least in the short term. An automatic increase from 10% to 21% on VAT on electricity was triggered.
