As the South prepares for a historic drought, farmers in Hauts-de-France or Sarthe are delayed in their work by downpours and fear for the harvest. From the Mediterranean rim to the Pyrénées-Orientales, severe water restrictions were pronounced even before the beginning of summer.

A situation so desperate that some, as in Draguignan (Var), invoke the sky and organize processions to rain. Further north, farmers would like the rain to stop falling so that they can work properly.
