In 2024 there will be a significant growth in alcohol-free wines compared to two years ago. In the last decade the consumption of beer has reduced (from 81% to 70% of the total), spirits have grown (from 6% to 10%) and the purchase of ready-to-drink products has tripled.

A different story, however, for low alcohol wines (up to 10°), which in the United States have seen a decline in the last two years (-15% for still wines and -18% for sparkling wines in volume) Although they represent a turnover of more than 2 billion euros per year. This is highlighted by a study presented at Vinitaly by the Federvini Observatory curated by Nomisma and TradeLab. "Although it is too early to say whether we are facing real new trends, we cannot ignore these signals coming from the market and Italy, currently finding itself in a regulatory impasse, is at a disadvantage" says Micaela Pellets.
