Agents of the Grand Est Region were asked by the service management to no longer use “inclusive writing” in documents from the community. “So-called ‘inclusive’ writing results in a fragmentation of words and agreements which constitutes a barrier to understanding the written word,” said Nicolas Pernot, Director General of Services.
The Grand Estoise administration cited another circular from the Minister of National Education Jean-Michel Blanquer, dating from May 5, 2021, which prohibited its application in schools.
