Increasing violence in Bavarian schools: frightening statistics - and the search for the cause. In 2022, 744 students and 43 teachers suffered minor injuries, compared to 575 children and 41 teachers in 2019.
Violent crime, which includes crimes such as murder, manslaughter, rape, robbery, extortion or dangerous and serious bodily harm, recorded 554 cases in a school context last year. In comparison, there were 424 cases three years earlier, an increase of more than 23 percent. Other federal states have also seen an increase in recorded violent crimes compared to the period before the corona pandemic.
