Bari Prosecutor's Office has sent the documents of the archived investigation into the mayor of Bari Antonio Decaro to the parliamentary anti-mafia commission. The investigation was classified: the members of the commission themselves can consult the pages, but cannot collect a copy, and are obliged to keep the contents secret.
Justice collaborator Nicola De Santis spoke about the alleged meeting between Decaro and Parisi in 2019, when he provided information on mafia infiltration in Amtab, the municipal public transport company in Bari which has been under judicial administration since February 26th. Parisi, as revealed by the investigators, was actually hired in the Amtab in 2011. The meetings took place approximately 7 months before or at most a year before Parisi's appointment to the Am Tab. "De Tullio Michele" told me that we had to support Decaro. "We were told that Parisi Massimo would thus be hired", says De Sant is. "Anyway, it was a local election and Decaro was at the Transport Department."
