Ten members of the Iranian security forces and 18 attackers were killed in two attacks. The attacks were carried out during the night from Wednesday to Thursday in southeastern Iran bordering Pakistan and Afghanistan.

It was claimed by the jihadist group Jaish al-Adl (Army of Justice in Arabic), based in Pakistan, on its Telegram accounts. This double attack is the deadliest since that which cost the lives of 11 police officers in December in the province of Sistan-Baluchistan. It is considered a “terrorist organization” by Iran, which is predominantly Shiite, as well as the United States.
