Israel says Iran has launched a large-scale drone attack against the country. Iran's Revolutionary Guards have also allegedly fired rockets against Israel.

This was the “response to the Zionist regime’s recent crimes,” it said in a statement read out live on television. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu says the air defense is prepared for the attack. The number of drones fired is estimated to be between 50 and 75. The Israeli government has already warning of a military strike in the Middle East for days. US President Joe Biden had previously cut short his trip to Washington and returned to Israel for consultations. Israeli Foreign Minister Israel Katz also changed his scheduling about a retaliatory attack from Iran, because of concerns about a possible drone attack. Unlike missiles like the Shahed, drones fired from Iran take around nine hours to reach Israeli airspace. As the Israeli air systems can certainly intercept the drones that are fired, Israeli air defense and F-35s can certainly intercepted the aircraft that were fired.
