Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu says he will not participate in a military offensive against Iran. Iran launched a series of attacks on Israel on April 1, killing several people.

The attacks were in response to Israeli airstrikes on Iranian targets in Syria. The U.S. President Barack Obama called the attacks a “provocation” and said he would not join in the offensive. The Israeli Prime Minister said that the attacks were a response to the U.N. Security Council’s resolution condemning the use of force by Iran against Israel in the 1980s and 1990s. He also said that Israel would not engage in any military action against Iran in the near future. The Iranian government has denied that it has launched any attacks against Israel since the April 1 attacks. The United States has said that it will respond to any attack on Israel with military force if it is deemed to be a threat to its security. The American president said that he would “not participate” in any offensive against the Iranian government.
