Nowatek, Russia's largest producer of liquefied natural gas (LNG), has suspended production in its Arctic LNG 2 project. Russia originally set itself the goal of capturing a fifth of the global LNG market by 2035 at the latest. Currently, Russia is the fourth largest LNG producer in the world with annual exports of 32.6 million tons.
