ISIS-K, the terrorist group accused of attacking Moscow, had in mind attacking the World Cup in Qatar 2022. This was revealed by the leaks of the United States Defense documents published by The Washington Post.
The group also recently had the big soccer event as its objective: it had planned to attack the Qatar 2022 World Cup, in which the Argentine National Team was crowned. But in addition to the attacks, militants also devised violent responses to the burning of the Koran by militants in Sweden and the Netherlands.
