Thousands of Israelis demonstrate in Tel Aviv, Jerusalem, Haifa, Beer Sheva, Caesarea and other cities. Demonstrators demand the release of their relatives still detained in Gaza.
Police used water cannons to disperse the protesters and arrested sixteen people. Another demonstration is planned for this Sunday in Jerusalem, with some planning to camp in tents near the Knesset, the Israeli parliament. The protest movement against the strong man of the Hebrew state began in January 2023, against a highly contested justice reform project.
