Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu convened the war cabinet for a security assessment following US reports this Friday. The Israeli Minister of Defense and the Chief of Staff of the Israeli Armed Forces met with the commander of the United States Central Command.

The White House alluded to a “real and viable threat” without giving details about the possible moment and reiterating that the White House takes seriously its commitments to defend Israel. A US official reiterated that Washington expects an attack by Iran against Israel, but ruled out that it was significant enough to involve the U.S. in the war. A CBS report citing two North American intelligence sources indicated that the eventual attack would include one hundred drones and dozens of missiles. The coup would be a response to the attack on Iran's diplomatic headquarters in Damascus on the first day of this month, attributed to Israel. The United States said it had restricted personal travel of its employees in Israel outside the metropolitan areas of Tel Aviv, Jerusalem and Beer Sheva. France, Britain, Canada, India, Poland and Australia issued travel warnings for Israel, the West Bank, Iran and Lebanon.
