Two hundred and fifty Israeli soldiers have been killed in the Gaza Strip since the start of the ground military operation on October 27. The operation was launched in retaliation for the Hamas attack carried out on October 7 in southern Israel.
The death of a soldier on Monday in the north of the Palestinian territory was announced by the Israeli army. The soldier was identified as Matan Vinogradov, who was killed during the attack on al-Chifa hospital in Gaza City. He was one of two soldiers killed in Monday's attack on the hospital.
