Israel plans Rafah offensive – Netanyahu rejects postponement. More than a million people have fled to the city of Rafah, which borders Egypt, since the Israeli military offensive in the Gaza Strip began.

Israeli media had previously reported that progress had been made in talks in Paris on a hostage and ceasefire agreement. Israel's Mossad chief David Barnea met with mediators from Egypt, Qatar and the USA in the French capital on Saturday. They reportedly agreed on the outlines of an agreement that will form the basis for further negotiations.
