Israel presented additional flexibility in the negotiations in Cairo regarding the return of Palestinians to the northern Gaza Strip. Hamas demands the full return of Palestinian residents to the north of the Gaza Strip and a full Israeli withdrawal from the land corridor.
Israel is ready for the gradual return, but is opposed to the withdrawal of IDF forces from the corridor. An Israeli senior official: "There is potential for progress, but it is too early to be optimistic. We'll see if Sinwar is ready to move"
