Hundreds of radical Israeli settlers have attacked Palestinians with firearms and burned their cars and homes. At least one dead and 20 injured in a wave of revenge that has spread over a dozen towns.

After finding the body of Benjamin Ajimair, a 14-year-old Israeli who has been missing since Friday, the army has reported that he was “killed in a terrorist attack.” These types of attacks are a common collective punishment in recent years after some attacks or decisions. It is known as “price policy” and takes place at a time of maximum tension, with the war in Gaza, a record of deaths and forced displacements in the West Bank and a growing trickle of attacks against Israelis. The West Bank has been militarily occupied by Israel since the Six-Day War of 1967, so Palestinians are subject to military legislation and Israelis to civil legislation. The Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, has spread a more timid message, in which he calls “all citizens of Israel to allow the security forces to do their job”
