A California man is suing more than 50 women for $2.6 million after they shared negative stories about him on the "Are We Dating The Same Guy" Facebook page. The women say Stewart Lucas Murray is only using the legal action to intimidate them, and they are asking the courts to step in.

On Monday, a judge in Los Angeles Civil Court ruled that one of the women — Vanessa Valdez — did nothing wrong by sharing her opinion of Murray with the popular online group. Another woman sued by Murray, Kelly Gibbons, said the first time she saw the man in real life was when he came to her house to file the lawsuit. Murray claims the women he sued ruined his dating life and damaged his reputation - hoping the ruling will set a precedent that prevents him from continuing to use the legal system against them. The judge in Murray's case said Monday that based on the evidence, the court saw no possibility that Murray would prevail on any of the claims he made. The private Facebook group is part of a larger network of groups where women share information about negative dating encounters they've had in their cities.
