A treasure worth billions of dollars is said to lie on the seabed off the coast of Colombia. An expedition is scheduled to bring the treasures of the sunken “San José” ashore this year.

The ship sank in 1708 around 30 kilometers off the harbor of the Colombian coastal city of Cartagena. Since then it has lain at the bottom of the sea laden with gold, silver and precious stones. The exact location of the wreck is secret - this is intended to protect the archaeological find, which is considered one of the most valuable in history.
