The Italian pavilion for Expo Osaka 2025 was the protagonist today at the Design week. Italia-chan, the mascot designed for the event, was presented in preview at the State University.

Monsignor Rino Fisichella, Pro-Prefect of the Dicastery for Evangelization, anticipated that the Holy See will bring Caravaggio's Deposition, preserved in the Vatican Art Gallery, to the event. The Italian Pavilion designed by Mario Cucinella was structured to be seen from a large ring, a 12 meter high promenade. Inside there will be a part dedicated to 'craftsmanship, connected to design, because it is the way to explain what is behind the quality of our Made in Italy' The Holy See, the Deposition of Carvaggio, and the Italian Pavilion will be on display at the Expo from September 25 to October 1, 2025. In fact, Vattani also announced the collaboration with Eataly, which will manage the restaurant located on the terrace of the pavilion.
